This Policy explains how Techener ("we", "us") collects and uses personal data as the data controller for AI SEO Engine, available at seo.techener.com.

Data we collect

• Account data — name, email, password hash (to create and secure your account).
• Site data — URLs of websites you connect, and data fetched from your Google Search Console and Google Analytics accounts on your behalf, used solely to perform audits and optimizations.
• Usage & telemetry — device info, IP address and log data for security, fraud prevention and product improvement.
• Support messages — content of inquiries you send us.

How we use Google user data

When you connect Google Search Console, we request the webmasters.readonly scope to read your verified properties, search analytics, sitemaps and indexing data. This data is used only to power the audits, dashboards and recommendations inside your AI SEO Engine workspace. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not share it with third parties for purposes unrelated to providing the Service. You can revoke access at any time from your Google account permissions page or from the Integrations page in the app.

Legal basis

We process data to perform our contract with you, on the basis of legitimate interests (security, product improvement), with your consent (marketing), and to meet legal obligations.

Data sharing

• Service providers and subprocessors (cloud hosting, analytics, support tooling).
• Paddle.com — our Merchant of Record for sales, subscriptions, payments, tax and invoicing.
• AI model providers (Google, OpenAI) for processing audit and content generation requests.
• Authorities where required by law.

Retention

We keep data for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it. You can request deletion at any time.

Your rights

You may access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to processing of your data, and withdraw consent. Contact privacy@techener.com or, in the UK/EEA, complain to your supervisory authority.

Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, scoped access tokens, and least-privilege access controls.

International transfers

Where data leaves the UK/EEA, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

Essential cookies are used for authentication; analytics cookies are used with your consent.
